BIPOC-AIC Host “Whore-lo-ween” Panel To Promote and Inform on the Significance and Benefits of Sex Magic For Black and Brown Performers
United States (August 21, 2020) – The Black, Indigenous and People of Color Adult Industry Collective (BIPOC-AIC) are hosting “Whore-lo-ween”, a panel of BIPOC sex magic practitioners on October 8, 2020 at 8 PM EST / 5 PM PST to demystify sex magic for Black and Brown communities.Speakers include Rho Opulance, Xerlina Devine, Nikki Morgan, Dani Rose, Valerie Lynn and moderated by Lasha Lane.
Sex magic—or the practice of any type of sexual activity combined with magical, ritualistic or otherwise religious and spiritual pursuits for a desired result—is a taboo topic for many People of Color as the pagan roots of the practice directly challenge the colonized perceptions of spirituality and Eurocentric religious ritual.
This panel will contextualize and define sex magic through the practitioners’ unique experiences while facilitating the connection to ancestral practices within a sincere and judgment-free space.
By revealing timeframes and environments to practice sex magic in; tools to utilize; consent examples in practicing; and the power and duality available within practicing both partnered and solo sex magic, this discussion will broaden the scope of how to fully destigmatize a series of practices that can unlock and channel the power rooted in indigenous spirituality.
The BIPOC-AIC empowers adult performers, content creators and sex workers through career development, skill share, and mutual aid in order to prevent vulnerability and the need to accept unfair business and working conditions.
